It was bound to happen, after 6 months of flying I finally came a cropper and crashed my Brushless spitfire tonight, it was quite an odd crash and im still not sure if it was my fault or the equipment but I had taken off, gone vertical for a few hundred feet, pulled inverted and then dived at 50% power whilst rolling (two complete roles) when I then backed off the throttle, tried to pull out of the barren roll and it wouldnt, it just continued to spin about it's axis getting lower and lower and finaly hitting the ground nose in.

Damage is the Nose cone, spinner, Inner Frame (had spare), wing (had spare) and the brushless motor no longer runs properly, it seams the ESC is defective as it wont run up the motor properly, I tried another ESC to check.

So I dont know if the ESC failed and cause me to lose control or it failed after the impact.

She's rebuilt, just need a spinner to complete. It's shame because the performance of the brushless system was amazing.

Hi Radweld,

Do you have any photos/specs of the Spit? I know plenty of people would be interested to see how you modified it to take Brushless. We are aiming to have a section with upgraded planes (much like the paint customisations), perhaps you could be the first on there!

The modified gearbox survived so I will take some photos. It's very straight forward though, only thegearbox really needs modifying.
