spitfire colours

hi,.heres my latest paint job.,not fully finished yet,,more pics to come.,.,hope you like,...i fly it with the canopy open as i like the look,.,.the pilot figure that comes with these parkzone planes looks hopless,.so i make a small oxogen mask out of miliput.,then a repaint.it totaly changes the look.,the cannons are just wood dowl sharpend then pushed into the leading edge of the wings...il try to get some shots of it in flight.......i did fly it with a volkes style filter plus the rad & air scoop under the wngs but it changed the way the model flew so i removed them even though they were made of blue foam which almost no weight.,

When I did the filter I made it from 2 sections of styrene packaging the kit comes in glued to gether and coverd in paper.
CANNONS, I also did these, but got them looking really cool by using the following....
2 peptes...cut off the "bulb" pump end. put a stick of plastic in thats longer than the full lenght.
cut a "V" in the end fitting against the wing and glue in using the stick, spray up to the colour you want.

Sorry bullittrob....I'm steeling your thunder. the kite looks COOL.

Thanks for that,.yes i like em looking a bit more scale.,i like your idear about the canons mine are a bit like two sticks!!! lol., i will make them a bit fatter with .,.yes you guessed it!! miliput!.hehehe....i just made the ends of the dowl sharp then pushed them into the wing.,their in about 4" so its a nice snug fit.,,.even with a bump they wont come off,.how do i post the pics to the hanger section???...i did a mk8 version by removing the outer windscreen,then moving it inwards,.p51 exhausts,grey/green colours.,D-day stripes,.looks the part,.il post pics next time i get it out,.i say a mk8 because the parkzone dnt have a tail wheel,..,

I think they look great once done in there "own" colours.....but there a little expensive to do them like your 1/48th plastic kits!:D

i love doing differnt markings on these parkzones,make em look a little my scale in the air...glad you like em,,,
