Pulled apart two of my old battery packs for my Firebird commander today, building a 10 cell battery for the Spit @ 12V.. Just took it out for a test flight - omg did she shift!!! totally transformed. probably similar to the lipo's performance minus increased flight time im guessing?

Any ideas what i should set the charger to with my 10 cell special?

Im not sure the stock charger will cope at all well here, well in fact they dont really cope with standard batteries.

I have a CORE-RC UDC20 that cost £40 and it does everything.

Charger was fine.. plane is not!!

Ripping around on the weekend at some crazy speeds is overstressed the spit, i took her up real high showing off to my mates - put it into a massive dive, the noise was awesome.. then.. SNAP! half the wing flew off.. hit the ground at hell of a rate - so hard infact the motor imbedded itsself into the rear inside of the body. oh dear

With that set up your battery would likely weight around 50 to 60 grams more than a lippo.Too much wieght to pull that many "G's".Next time go lippo and re-enforce your wings.

10x1.2 is 12v though and a Lipo only gives you 11.1v I am supprised the ESC didnt go up in smoke before thewings ripped off. Their not really meant to go that quick lol.
