Hi everybody,
I need advice on my hobbyzone super cub please ! I brought it at northweald wings and wheels show, i have notice when the cub is switched on and i use controls for rudder and elervator they continue to jitter slightly for a few seconds and settle down, more notice on elervator,
Also on my first and only flight i noticed the motor would cut out for a second or two, i have checked for loose crystal in reciver but this is soldered in, can any body help in both cases at all thanks...rob

I think the servos judder around because they and the receiver are a bit cheap... it happened with my cub too, as did the motor cutting out briefly; it may be the anti crash thingy cutting in if you have it switched on, I noticed the motor cutting out most in the evenings, when the air is moist so it may be something to do with water droplets getting on the brushes. I don't think there's a way around it really, and as long as the rudder and elevator remain under control it should be ok to fly. To be honest I never really enjoyed flying the cub because of it cutting out and the fact that it never really went where I was trying to point it, I only had about 7 flights with it before buying the RC Plane Master simulator instead and playing about on there for a few days and then moving straight onto the Parkzone Spitfire which so far has shown no signs of cutting out, perhaps because the motor is out of the airflow. :)

hi antony,
thanks for reply, i only flew it last monday evening , also it was a bit blustery, maybe the air was damp as you suggest water droplets, looking at the reciever and transmitter they are not top qulity like you say,
i got the the cub as being a high wing trainer to learn on,got it for £75 at north weald show (bargain) all new in box.
If i get a few flights out of it its worth it.
thanks again and will let you know how i get on next time, when wheather is better...rob

Yeah £75 is a bargain, you can't really go wrong at that price! :D

Flying in a breeze is not the easiest thing to do, but it makes it more exciting.

I hope it all goes well!
