View Full Version : For Sale section?
What's the possibility of having a For Sale section on the forum, for people to pass on unused or unwanted PZ stuff to other users without resorting to the evils of eBay?
How we feel about it?

I'd love a for sale section, i've been thinking about it my self.
For instance, i've got 2 standard battery packs what come with the Spit, almost brand new and i'd rather give the fine people here priority before putting them on eBay.

I think this is a good idea but then someone has to police it. Kinda puts SL in a difficult position if someone rips someone else off.
I'm happy to volunteer if nobody else is willing/able.

That is SPOOKY! I was only thinking this today, as I have a few standard batteries I will need to sell on before I get some upgrades.
Maybe SL could just do a "classified" section and waive any responsibility for the ads as the mags do?:) Great idea though.

Guys…..
Unfortunately this is a real mine field.
I know this due to being a business manager in trade/retail for; well let’s just say a very long time!
There is no such thing as “sold as seen” in a court of law, and is frowned upon and pursued by trading standards…..
ALL goods sold in the UK must “BE FIT FOR PURPOSE” and if not can be refused under law by the buyer on receipt….then it gets worse!!!!!!
IF a thread is posted as such this would be down to the individuals entering in to a contract and no liability could be taken by any other party (ie squadron leader) (apart from those entering into a contact…..who are the buyer and seller)
I am sure the Sqadron leader will post on this later today......

I'm afraid it's not going to happen! If you want to sell you old damaged items then it's needs to be done on e-bay or other such auction sites. We simply cannot justify the time at the moment to manage the possible issues that can arise from 2nd hand market transactions. However, never say never!
All the best.
