Hi, im looking at getting the Super Cub as my first RC plane. I notice that it only comes with a car charger.

Can you recommend a good mains charger that i can use to charge my batteries?

In addition, i have been doing some reading on other forums regarding the use of the stryker 9.6v 8 cell batteries as a spare battery as the power is better. Having a quick look at the site, i cannot seem to find any spare batteries for the stryker.. any advice ?

Thanks in advance

We are currently sourcing 5amp Mains Adaptors which will allow you to charge all your batteries from a standard 240V socket. This should save you the inconvenience of leaving your keys in the car ignition. It should also solve the problem non car owners come across!
We expect delivery within the next 2 weeks.

With regard to the batteries for the F-27B. They are available: http://www.squadronleader.co.uk/product/9.6V_900mAh_Ni-MH_Battery_Upgrade_HBZ1013-F27B

We have also sourced alternative Ni-MH batteries for the complete range. These will be 1400mAh batteries and should offer increased flight duration. These will be coming in the next 2-4weeks.

Thank you for your reply. Please keep us updated on the progress of the charger and batteries. Once all is in stock, I will probably be ordering my 1st flyer!!

I wish somebody would make a kit suitable for converting the Cub to be powered by Li-Po's.

Hi Dizee Rascal

You don't need a kit just a lipo battery and charger (stock charger no good) and changing the jumper on the rx. Haven't done it myself but here are plenty of folk who have:

supercubclub.proboards78.com has lots of other good advice (and pics and vids) of what you can do with and to a Cub!!

Enjoy
