I bought a Spitfire from this website today and was wondering if someone could help me out with a small problem?
I have the controller switched on with the throttle set to the 'off' position, but whenever I attach the battery to the plane the motor spins round at what seems like top speed and there is nothing I can do to stop it except from disconnecting the battery. I wondered if anyone here knew what I could do to sort this out?

This is strange. Where did you purchase your Spitfire? Was it from this website or eleswhere?

Have you tried the throttle at full power? It might stop then.
If so, there's a switch on the front of the controller (bottom, left) marked T/V. I'm sure that'll be the "reverser" for the throttle. So flick it to the other position and try again!
Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the advice! I sent the first Spitfire back to squadron leader and they very kindly sent me a replacement, which I have now. The only problem is that the tail fin is cracked where it meets the fuselage making it very wobbley... I will have to fix it securely before trying to fly it. :)
