Yes but you can't really trust their sense of taste... all they need is to catch sight of the stars and stripes and they'll be 'god blessing america'! :D
I say paint roundels on it, and then ask 'em what they think of it!

In the US they sell PnP versions, they might get them here but I agree, I would only want a Bind and fly.

Got my F4 yesterday and flew it today.Well worth the wait my friends. It's my third PK plane.I started with the FW190 and then got the Spitfire. All my planes are brushless with lipo. The F4 flies as good as the Spitfire and looks great in the air.I was going to get the PNP version but when I went into my LHS and found out they had just arrived and they only had two I decided to act fast.

lets have some shots in the air then!!!!!!!

Unfortunately there will be no action shots.I flew the plane twice the day after I bought it with no problems. On my third flight the plane suffered some glitching problems.(yes it was spectrum)I lost control of the plane as it started to do a continuious spiralling loop and flew off into the distance.
I did see the plane go down but by the time I got to the area I was unable to find it.Needless to say I was more than a little upset.
Contacted the distributor and the only thing they would do is sell me a new plane at a discount.I went back to the area several times but always left feeling crappy so I decided to try to forget about it.Four days latter I got a call from my LHS.My plane had been recovered and since I was the first one to own one in my area there was no doubt who's it was .
I again contacted the distributor and they are now going to replace the whole plane.I sent the plane in a week ago and here I sit waiting again.Oh well it could have ended worse. At least I'm getting it replaced.
I believe the problem was in the reciever because right from new it would humm and buzz.Being new to spectrum I thought this was some what normal but after talking to some people I found out different.

The servos hum and buzz, they use digital servos and they are noisy, it's just the frequency the motor works at.

It was the reciever which was making the buzzing noise.

I wonder how long before the PNP version??

I'm very tempted to get one, it's just I'm not sure if it's worth the price £200+.... for that money you can get a bulsa arf.
ralphp
09-24-2008, 02:41 PM
I know...but bulsa's not as forgiving as foam! (after all the bulsa ones I've "landed hard" and turned in to match wood) I should know!
I think It'll make a great addition to the range....but I think the price is in the RC kit? even if it's not brilliant.
I'd love to do a marine version (never repainted and salt air washes) scratched and smoke ow er! LOL

Showing my ignorance here so apologies. Why is there such a large price differential with the F4U? More channels, more sophisticated bit of kit?

you've got it....plus it's new and demand is quite high. We've been waiting in the UK for four months to even see one!

Same number of channels as the T28
Same construction to the T28
The Plug and Play version is £130 but says its not supplied with an RX so this makes it expensive. However, the prices of stuff from China has nearly doubled recently.

Hi guys,
I finally have my hands on a Corsair and its SWEET AS!! see attached pics.
Agreed its a bit more expensive than the others but the details make it worthwhile. The motor and prop are excellent. The steerable back wheel is a nice touch! You have the ability to put the wheels on or the skids. Having a rudder helps aswell.
I have the PNP version, as i already have a Sprekrum Dx6i so i am well impressed with the easy set up
Its a winner all round, just need to wait till the weekend to fly!!!

Did you fit the 2 blade prop or was it shipped like that? the yanks seam to have had a number of 3 blade props fail so I wonder if they revised the design.

Your paying for the plane being brushless lippo with spectrum radio. It's four channel and really not that much more for what your getting. You can get the PNP version for the same price as a RTF spit.

Got my corsair three days ago. Best rc plane I've ever had. That includes the cub, the mustang, the focke, the spit, the trojan and the ember. Flys so much nicer than the trojan and faster. Amazingly aerobatic. The 3-blade prop included is as fast as the 2-blade, but sounds better. I've already attached my FlyCamOne on to it's belly, the videos are awesome. I'll upload some pictures/videos later (if i can). Thank you Squadron Leader!

PLane came with the 2 prop attached, the 3 prop was in the box. The 3 blade has more detail, i guess the floppy 2 blade is for use without wheels. When you have the wheels on you have less chance of a prop strike.
I got this direct from America when i was over there recently ( PNP Version)
I think the cost will drop on this as its not selling to well so far. People want it but are not prepared to pay the higher cost. The PNP is a good option, but its still a bit high, compared to what you get in the non PNP verision.
but then you end up like me with 5 different blo**% controllers!
I have a small video camera i want to get in the plane to get some good take off and landing shots. would be interested to see your clips mate.

All sounds great to me......
Will have to wait for a little time and money!
Can't wait to see some one do some weathering like the marines version.....salt air, and salt water degridation....ow er!!!!!
