Hi I recently bought the DX6i and was wondering if someone could help me

in the menu there is D/R & Expo

and when click it opens this screen:

D/R&EXPO
Aile 0 100% + 100%
Elev 0 100% + 100%
Rudd0 100% + 100%

Ive been told they are two diffirent things (D/R&Expo) but they appear on my system together:confused:.

I know that by setting the Aile to 50% (first row %) it will give me less response (like the spite A/B) and by flicking the switch from to AIL D/R from 0to 1 will increase to whatever I make it. So my question is, why is Expo here or should I just leave it at 100% or is the EXPO the setting for switch in postion 1?

Last question, setting control throws: is best to set it on the radio or at the servo/pushrod level?

Thanks for any help

Ok, I have have also worked out that AIL D/R switch in postion 0 gives me

D/R&EXPO
Aile 0 100% + 100%
Elev 0 100% + 100%
Rudd0 100% + 100%

In switch postion 1 it gives me

D/R&EXPO
Aile 1 100% Inn
Elev 1 100% Inn
Rudd1 100% Inn

I ask which is the better postion to fly a new plane for the 1st test 0 (with Expo) or 1 (without)?

Thanks

Nope,

I use 30-40% Expo on the ailerons and elevator to smooth out the controls. Adding expo reduces the speed of movement of the control surface but at the full throw of the control, the actual control surface still moves to max

This mode on the DX6i allows the use of Dual Rates or Expo and you assign the relevant switch accordingly, note to enable a expo for example, you would set the switch to 1 and then program the TX, then when you set the switch to 0 expo is off and 1 it's on.

Thanks for the advise re Expo. Yes, switch 0 or 1 depending on what you set will make your plane go from mild to wild... but lots of reading the net on how this all works..
