thought id do a nice easy to see one on these dark grey dull evenings weve been having..,so here goes! these pink spitfires were flown from R,A,F hendon.,plus R,A,F benson,,.the thinking behind the pink colour was mega high flights over possible targets or flying over targets that were subject of an earlier bombing raid to photograph damage done by the raid.,as most flights took place during dusk hrs pink was choosen as the best camoflage against a dusky sky,.,.although most PR units changed their aircraft to a few shades of blue......."what a geek":o flight pics to follow as soon as the rain stops.:mad:

Looks really good... in a Thunderbirds/Roland Rat Mobile sense!!
Would love to know how you achieve the weathering and panel lining on all your models though bullitrob? Really authentic. Superb work. Out of curiosity, just how many spits do you own???!!! Or have you lost count!! :)

the stripes are masked then painted,.,but i cheated on this one,.n.,used black/white insulating tape!!!...quicker than the paint brush...lol,.,.all panel lines are done with a black biro.,,.then misted over with airbrushed mid grey / brown ect,...right now ive got eight that are flyers!,.they all have rx their own dx6i installed with their own ESC"s,,.so its just plug the lipo in,.n.,fly..ive got 10 or so still in the shed,.all are projects,theres a 190 that i fly as well,,.most of them are ex show items that i bought.all had smashed into a concrete floor,so all have had major repairs to get them back into the air!

Another plane bullittrob. Looks very cool in a "YMCA" / "Hello Sailor!" kind of way.
I must admit I prefer your blue Spit but this one is still very nice.
