Tuskegee P51

Hi guys,

Has anyone ever tried one of these Revel spray kit things. The Mrs went off the deep end! The paint is everywhere except on the plane!

Anyway, trying to paint up a Tuskegee P51 - its proving difficult as I dont want to remove the decals! Has anyone got any pics, there are loads of variants of a Tuskegee P51. Especially on the nose.

Depends on which Revel? internal mixed (cup on top), external mix (bottle on bottom) and pressure used/mixing used?......

I think you might have the nozzel on to wide an angle....or paint too thin? let me know the set up and I might be able to help?

If you don't want to remove the "stickers" use Humbrol mask....this is a pink liquid that once painted on will harden and you can spray over....then peal off like pva from a finger!....DON'T LEAVE ON ANY LONGER THAN 72 HOURS! as you might not get it off!

you can peel them off.,then just stick them back again,,.ive removed mine several times,,a hair dryer helps sofen the glue....or mask them like phill says...

also there cheep enough to pull off and replace with new once you've sprayed your kite!

Flying a P51 shouldnt take long to weather up on its own!

Its a pig to fly!

I think it flys fine and is very responsive... the problem is launching it. :D

Yep launching is definately problem! Never quite sure what its going to do!
The problem when its in the air is that its too responsive...get it comes down to individual flying styles.
But I have been doing stuff with the spit that I would never attempt with the P51!

I think the Parkzone P51 flys just like the Mustang on MS Combat Flight Simulator! Haha :D

Easy quick turns and it will also pull out of a dive very easily.
