Did anybody on the forum go to the Southern Model Airshow at The Hop Farm this weekend?
I went today, was there for only 3 or 4 hours but had a brilliant afternoon and managed to spend lots of money on rubbish, non-aviation related toys for my 7 year old nephew who came with me.
I wonder if SL will have a stand there next year- they will do a roaring trade with all the ready to fly aircraft.

I was there on Saturday getting sunburnt ;)
It was great fun although there are some people with much bigger planes/much more skill/much bigger wallets/much more room to store stuff at home than most of us in the SL sqaudron.
My two favourites were the ATS fun fighters - how do they managed to concentrate when there are 18 of them in the air at once??!!! - and the helicopter that buzzed around like a mad mosquito and doing things that no heli should be able to!! Tha ATS guys also had fun attacking an airfield with a full pyrotechnic display which caught one of them and it went down in flames!!!
For Ralphp there was also a guy with a Lanc that flew upside down about 1 foot of the ground
I saw the Hanger9 team who had some PZ stuff on the flightline - two Spits, a T28 and the new Corsair - but they didn't seem to fly them :( Still the Corsair looks very nice
I also spent money but due to the lack of PZ stuff to buy I bought an ArtTech Christen Eagle Biplane RTF/Burshless and Lipo for £60
I was suprised SL were not there - it is fairly local for them and there was certainly a big enough crowd to be knocking out new stuff and clearing out the odds and sods collection that I am sure SL has in its cupboards
Maybe next year :D
