hi all!:)

well me and a mate have both decided to get a a p51 each today and was just wondering wheher it is possible to use another tx instead of the awkward looking supplied tx! as i fly helis im hoping to use my hitec optic 6! is this possible!:confused:

Hi Andy,

Is your hitec transmitter on 35mhz? If so then it would not be possible to use this with the mustang, unless you replaced most of the electronics i.e ESC, servos and you would have to buy a 35mhz reciever. Would'nt cost too much and it would be worth it from a reliability point of view as the ESC/Reciever is a bit dodgy. I was thinking of doing this modd on mine but now I'm used to the transmitter. I would definetly recommend upgrading to lipo's though, makes a lot of difference to the flight time and performance. If your were to upgrade the servos I would recommend are the Hitect HS55's. I use them in my Edge 540 and they are perfect.
