Hi everyone,
I am a newbie to the world of R/C planes and have bought a parkzone spitfire but didn't go very well.:(
First flight...crash...2nd flight...ok...3rd flight...crash...crash and crash
my confidence in flying it is going downhill rapidly. I want to buy a new plane and thinkin of the super cub. But all I want is a plane that has the ACT (anti crash techonology), and the one joystick on the controller like the parkzone spitfire has. I need the cheapest plane with these conponents,
Thanks

Hi Will

A Super Cub is what you want. It has the same controls as a Spit but flies much better and slower. Also it still looks good being a scale model of a real plane and not a plane designed fro RC flying like some of the other Hobbyzone planes (aerobird series etc). It is also fairly tough if you do prang it - mine has a tail section held on with glue and sellotape. Be careful of ACT though - it has two parts to it. The first is that it restrict the movemnts of the rudder and elevator which is good (much like dual rate on the Spit) but the second are the sensors which will reduce the throttle if they think the plane is crashing. This is fine on the first few flights but over time they seem to malfunction and start interfering with the throttle when you don't want it. So best advice is to make a few flights with ACT on and then either unplug the sensors (you will seem them on the rx) or just switch it off on the transmitter.

Cub is also a stable platform to add cameras to and also experiment with bigger batteries and motors.

Have a look at http://supercubclub.proboards78.com

for lots of ideas and help

Don't give up - this is a great hooby and once you have mastered the Cub try the Spit again and you will really thrill at its looks and performance!!
