Hi people

I'm new here so if this has been covered before then I'm sorry.

Just bought my first Parkzone P51, I've owned cheap RC planes and heli's before, most of them have met an untimely death at the hands of mother earth.

I've been looking round for some sort of RC training school, or even just private instructors to give me a few hours tution, but there seems to be practically nothing available.

I dont particaully want to join a club and pay membership fee etc as I dont get allot of spare time as it is having 2 jobs, all I want a is few hours instruction, I'm a really quick learner!

Does anyone know of anything in the UK, ideally Yorkshire area, but anything would be considered.

Thanks

Hello, I live in Yorkshire too!

The last 'expert' who tried to show me how to fly crashed my glider at Elvington airfield... it was flying fine until he took over. Nitwit.

So now I fly/crash my plane myself.

I took my Spitfire to York Racecourse and crashed there last month! haha

Cool

I live in York myself and the race course was going to be my first choice for my first flight.

I've clocked up many hours on the PC flight sim and I'm am just about used to controling the plane flying towards me now, well, on the sim at least!

I'll most likely film my sorte in the skies and I'll post a utube link so you can laugh away!!!

Well I took my new Cub to York racecourse this afternoon and had two short flights, both with safe landings! Woo!!

However the plane wanted to turn left the whole time... even when i set the rudder trim all the way to the right. The only possible cause i can see is that the vertical tail section is is bent over to the left by a few degrees like a bannana. Would this be enough to cause the plane to bank left?

I've attached a picture of my tail to demonstrate what I mean, the tail was like it when i received it in the post... not because I bent it:

Yeah the tail pointing in this direction will make it want to turn left all the time, not really because the tail is off center but because the rear stabaliser is tilted. I would try to shim it level somehow or get a replacement fuse as there seams to be a twist in it somewhere.
