Hi, I am trying to diagnose an odd flight characteristic following building my new FW190.

I have a Lipo set-up with a 11.1v 2200ma battery positioned in the forward part of the battery tray.

The set up I am using is the same as I have used in this model before and has always run just fine, but for some reason she wants to pitch up all the time.

To keep it level I have to use about 30% down elevator and when I let go of the stick she wants to pitch up again and stall.

I have tried trimming her out, moving the battery, but nothing seems to work?

I wondered if it was the thrust angle, however, with the standard 400 motor and gearbox this has already been set?

Someone mentioned that it sounded like an Incidence problem possibly, but since I do not have an Incidence Meter, I cannot check, although eyeballing the wing, stab and fin geometry, all seems pretty true to me with no major misalignments.

Only thing I have not tried is changing the prop and still not sure if this would cause this pitch up characteristic if it was distorted in some way?

I also have not tried attaching the spare prop nut supplied, however, I never needed to use this before....

Finally, C of G seems fine according to instructions so have drawn a complete blank - Any Suggestions?????

Many thanks

As the Lipo is half the weight of the Nimh pack, the nose will be lighter and the Center of Gravity will be all of a sudden pushed back resulting in the model pitching up during normal flight. You will either have to add weight to the front or trim the elevator down slighlty which is what you would do in a full size aircraft. If you adjust the elevator on the cable, this will give you more adjustment on the tx trim when you come to fly it next.
