Is there any way of using something as powerful as the stock 10.8v batterys from the PZ spit in my Supercub?

I want to speed this thing up and make my treetop landings even more spectacular!

Hi BOzzyman

Apart from physical fit this should be no problem. You need to cut the back of the battery boxy out and a small bit of the foam behind it. I fitted a Cub like this but with a spare Spit tx and rx gear I had so it was no problem physically. I myself have not tried the Cub rx with the Spit battery but it should be ok. Have a look here:

As you can see it seemed ok. Certainly got more ommph with the bigger battery. Others have even put lipos in the Cub (in which case you need to take the jumper out of the rx)

Anyway as you can see there are a number of options.

Good luck

I use Spitfire batteries in my Cub, all you need to do is remove the back section of the battery box, you don't even need to cut away any of the polystyrene.
The extra voltage makes a massive difference, much faster with a hugely improved climb rate, great and very simple modification :D
