Does anyone know what would a suitable receiver be for the Parkzone Typhoon 3d. I would like to use the transmitter which comes with the T28 Trojan, would the Trojan receiver be suitable for this model. any imformation would be greatly appreciated.
cheers, Geoff

Hi Geoff
I have got the Typhoon3d (not the Typhoon2 3D) and I think it is the same radio set as the Trojan although I have only seen the Trojan tx (on ebay) not the rx. You would only have to worry about the crystals I think. The Typhoon has two separate alieron servos which have two separate sockets on the rx. It also has a rudder and elevator socket as well as a throttle socket for the esc. Presumabl this is the same as the Trojan.
I have only got the FW190, Spit and SuperCub and the Typhoon is very different - lots of power and lift - it goes where you point it fast which is like riding a rodeo horse but having said that if it is heading groundwards it can soon be yanked upwards again :-)
Good luck
Malcolm

For about £99 you can buy the Spektrum DX6i 2.4ghz system, this is a computer 5 channel radio with 10 model memory. with this radio you can use aeileron differential on seperate channel and even configure them as flaperons to get basic flaps.
Aslo glitch free flying is a bonus.

According to Horizon Hobby, the T-28 RXs and Transmitters are interchangeable. In fact, they are not stocking T-28 Receivers and Transmitters but instead sending out replacementTyphoon RXs and TXs.
The only noticeable difference is the aesthetics - The Typhoon transmitter is greenish in colour and the Receiver is slightly smaller in size.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

And the fact that the RX as shipped with the T28 is prone to glitching.
