Hi all
Took my FW190 up for the first time today. Having read some of the reports about the handling of this warbird I was a little bit apprehensive about launching her and so with a deep breath, throttle open and away. There was no indication of torque roll as I was expecting instead she climbed cleanly and straight. As this was the first flight I decided to stay on low rate, even so the kite was very responsive performing climbs roll and loops with ease which may in part be due to the 2200mah lipo. She was a pure pleasure to fly with no apparent vices, the landing was text book stuff albeit a little on the fast side. Can't wait to fly her again, well done Parkzone,a definate hit in my book.

The fw190 is a real best of a kite......as you say VERY responsive, and never for the "new be"

Have you tryied "flairing" her just before landing (in effect using the stall to land)? if you get it just right you'll be flopping her in like the spit!

nice one gdclowes :), the fw190 really feels like it could handle some extra ooomph to make the best of a great model (p51 too),at the mo i got nimh's.
can you give me a rundown of whats needed for the conversion? i'm pretty much a noob to electric flight:p as the lipo batteries cost a fair bit more i went for nimh.

All you need to do is remove a jumper from the reciever, there are instructions in the booklet that came with the plane ;)

The Spitfire just needs programming to accept a LiPo, it's really easy and again the instructions are in the booklet :)

got lipo's for my fw190 now,and took it out for a spin, quite a nice step up in power, climbs better. my only niggle is after paying near on £50 for a parkzone lipo they don't provide a connector that fits the lead from the reciever! instead you gotta cut the old connector off and join a new lead.
