If the price of the warhawk was reduced to at least 40-50 pounds, then i would definetly get one
I bought the micro P-51 no long ago and its great fun and lets me fly near my house, but i havent been flying for the last 3 days because of the wind, which is too much for the P-51 but i reckon i could fly the warhawk in it
The only thing that puts me off is the price of the actual plane, the only other thing i would need is a batt cus ive got the rest of the stuff in my spares box

Yup, providing it has the JST-XH balance tab, I've charged a few of my 2s packs no problem with it.

Ah, well I went to visit when I was getting my first Super Decathlon replaced, and before Jamie arrived had a little tour of SQL, including a look around inside the "hangar" while we hunted out a SD box amonst all the others. I tell you, if someone had closed the door at that point, no one would ever hear you scream, they were like the doors on Fort Knox ...

Oh, and I expect Jamie's still got his little SQL van with authentic battle markings - I was told by the ground crew that he loves that thing

Encouraged by Simon's suggestion of procuring more cost effective, third party components for the P40, I've tried quite a bit harder sourcing such and ...........

I've assembled the list of: 2 servos, BL ESC, 2 v.good LiPos AND a 2.4G TX+RX combo for ......... wait for it .......... £49.07 ......... from one supplier here in Blighty !!!!! And that's just £23.59 if you don't want the cheapo combo and can be bothered shifting a suitable RX from another bird whenever you want to fly the P40

OK the TX+RX might not be the dogs - but if it works (and why would someone in the UK bother selling the stuff, if it was going to cause them huge headaches) then this does have make you think eh?

Sure, I'd MUCH prefer to use pukka E-Flite/Spekky bits and put 'me dosh within the SL family' - but?

Well - we'll have to see if ralphp's suggestion that Jamie may be planning something very tempting, comes to fruition.

Ro.

Yeh if i got one i would use the cheaper Turnigy stuff, it would be great if Sl stocked it I might get one and nick the 6-CH Rx from my supercub and put it in the corsair, then use the 5-CH one from that to put in the warhawk

As far as I can tell, anything other than the AR6110e (say an AR500) is a hack job to get it to fit.

Have a look at this:

Hmm. I noticed that too. A bit of a disappointingly poor info though, if it needs hacking around as much as the video suggests in order to get it to fit.

My guess is that E-Flite will have done a neat install job for one RX - the one they recommend.

Look here - under 'Build Up' at the bottom - no mention of the AR500:

Oh yeah Well id still spend time cutting out the foam to fit an rx that ive got rather than spend £40 on a new one, another £30 and i could get the micro sukhoi

Seems a lot of faff to me. Not convinced that canopy would stay on long without better magnets.

Looks good but overpriced imho.
