My charger has been on for nearly 24 hours and is still only just above the half way mark ? It shows 6.1v at first then drops to 5.5v, I guess that is good as the batteries equate to 4.8v??

I use duracell rechargeables 2800mah, and they stay at a constant 5.9v, if you put in energiser Lithium, you will get a good 6.3 for a long while, they are serious batterys.

It has now been on charge for 48 hrs and the bar is nearly 3/4 full. But is showing 6.2v.

Its just a bit disconcerting that the bar isnt full?

You will never get the bar full mate, as AA batterys are only 1.5v, i do not know why it the way it is but trust me 6.2V is very good.

Tornado,
It didn't come with any instructions, I was following a thread on here and the leads had id tags on them to say the voltage and what they charged.

And I had an old Ripmax one that charged my old Futaba Skysport TX and Nitro high wing.

It still seems odd that you TX is fully charged yet the bar is only 3/4 full

I think this is due to the them using similar electronics as the DX7, the DX7 has the abillity to add a flight pack which i think is 7.2V, therfor thats why you have the extra space on the battery bar!

Hopefully case closed.

If your still looking to fill that battery bar!!!! put in some Energizer Lithium Batterys, they took my DX6i battery meter right upto the full 7.2V, max, WOW!!!!!!

The next WOW is the price tag for them approx £6.99 for 4, but they are good!

Default batteries

can we get away with normal rechargeables in the DX6i or do i need to go to my normal fall back position of using the hybrid ones from maplins?

What voltage reading means that it's time for some fresh batteries? Mine is on 5.6V or something at the moment.
