I have to admit that looks sweet........... and probally easier to repair and retouch in the area of damage........... guess you just need to spend the time and not rush the painting process to achieve the best possible results

That looks very good! Almost makes me want to buy one, even though it's a ducted fan.

Cut the nose off around the black trim and you have a F100 Super Sabre

i think rather u should do this camo scheme from the nam era. altho there is a pic i cant find of a phantom that had the old 50s silver camo before it went to nam. they sprayed it vietnam camo but its started coming off making for an awesome like double camo pattern. shall scan it wen i get home

Default Habu Paint Job

Really didn't like the Habu paint job, so in a moment of madness ended up repainting it in a Navy T45ish scheme, should be easier to see, only time (or a bag of bits), will tell!

Thanks guys, took me flipin' ages as I did most of it with an airbrush having added some nice crocodile skin effects to past Trojans. Would definitely use a paint gun for at least the base coats next time. If only I had shares in Tamiya!

I like that very cool
painting Z foam isn't easy I only use airbrush for the smaller stuff and spray cans for large areas.

So why is the habu so damn expensive ??? I am going to progress to EDF next I think, but the habu no matter how nice it looks in other colours just aint worth the money.
I have been looking at a Starmax Hornet and as usual I do loads of research on the net and it seems to be a good plane, also FMS according to RCME mag is a nother good company.

No drama's flying aparently good harecteristics at all speeds and judging by this vis its seems ok on the not so smooth grass too.
