Default V1 vs V2?

After seeing Marts Trojan last weekend, and being impressed to the point of fancying one - I've just come across a brand new RTF version one. That's the original red and white machine with 35 MHz radio.

Spec is difficult to find now the V1 is discontinued.

Are there major differences other than the radio?

Is it worth getting (I actually prefer the livery of V1)?

Any thoughts from Trojanites out there would be appreciated.

Ro.

Not to sure Ro, but I think servos, esc and radio were updated, but don't quote me mate. I think the majority of peeps prefer the original colour scheme, but not me

I believe they are the same model just different (updated) colour scheme.

You can take the guts out and use your TX/RX etc.

I asked the same question when I was looking at them but they didnt sell it as a package with the DX6i so I bought the Bf109 package.

Im still toying with the BNF one from SQL

Thanks for that.

The real temptation is that I can get this Version 1 (pretty colours! ) 35 mHz RTF for 25 squidlies less than the current SL BNF Version 2 - and that's equivalent to another battery

Ooooh - I did like the way Marts flew. Itchy, itchy.

Sorry about this - there was only one left, and I'm picking it up on Monday.

Well, they reckoned just one - but I'll check for you if you would like me to.

Well, I picked up the red and white Trojan this morning - and the weather up here does look ok for tomorrow.

The fields I use aren't too smooth at all, so - I've got some bigger wheels!

I know there'll be a price to pay with some extra drag - but it shouldn't be much really. Especially when one considers how some fly perfectly ok with cameras perched un-aerodynamically on the airframe.

The wheels are about half the diameter again (62mm versus 46mm factory fitted) and don't look daft at all really. I guess the weight must be only 5 or 6 grams more total for the whole three of 'em.

I was going to use the 35mHz kit supplied but have decided to keep it pristine in order to get rid of it. Spekky AR500 or 6200 is going in instead.

Maiden tomorrow, hopefully. Chocks away!

Ro.
