Ah, ok. So its a ground take off rather than a hand launch I guess.

Would like Lioncub to be able to do ground take offs but our park isnt quite flat enough for it. Tried a couple of times and it just noses over

The cricket bit would be perfect so they put a fence around it when not in use

Thatll be the first target for Cubs bombs

I find that if the ground is a bit uneven I give it some throttle to get it moving then some up elevator to keep the tail down, full throttle......lift off and ease off the elevator for a nice climb.
The uneven ground is only a problem at slow speed where the wheels tend to get stuck in little holes on the grass.

Jim.

Might be a bit much for her to take in at this stage. Might give it a go myself though so she can see what it can do.

Cheers Jimmy

My mate had the same problem Gremlin all he did was put bigger wheels on the cub and it worked a treat, worth a shot mate as it shouldn't break the bank and well woth it if it works

Just as startazz has said, roll off ground.Bigger wheels are good.I put 3inch wheels on mine. It's still tricky to take off with, but makes landing alot smoother.Echo over

Bigger wheels is the key, best £3 I ever spent on mine

Rolls better on slightly longer grass.

Hey Gremlin,
I used to take of from the astroturf cricket pitch. great for take offs, after a bit of practice I could land on the same strip too. then some guys started playing cricket on it

I also put bigger wheels on my cub, looked a little oversized in flight but was dam glad I had them when landing on slightly longer grass. with the old wheels just kept doing a nose over on take off and landing.
