I believe it is 4.2v for the dx6i but knowing the issues with spectrum TR's suddenly loosing function at the lower end I would change or recharge at 4.8v minimum. The dx5 should be charged or have batts replaced as soon as the third light from the right comes on ( and that means landing immediately)

Aha thank you! I shall keep my eyes peeled for when it starts dropping towards 4V!

4V seems a little low to me, I personally do not use if it falls to 5V, I think its safe to have lots of power rather than risking all for the sake of some batteries.

Excellent batteries to use are the Energizer Lithium Range, I have had a set in my DX6i for the last 5 months, when I first fitted the batteries I had a constant 7.2V now I am at 6.8V and it’s had some use over the last few weeks.

The only down drop is they are expensive, but I suppose you get what you pay for!

I use the Sanyo Eneloops with usually read 5.6/8v when fresh, and I charge them at no less than 5v. The good thing about these is they hold their charge better than any others I've used, so when not using it for a few weeks, they're like fresh.

That's right... they're the most useless thing ever as you have about 30 seconds to get your crate down before it's left to gravity to do it for you

Pop some Energizer lithiums in the baby, by the time they decide to go flat the DX20 should be released! LOL
